i'm looking forward to the minor league teams this year because, let's be honest, the big club probably ain't gonna be so hot in 2010.

Who should we take first overall in the 2011 draft?

UCLA RHP Gerrit Cole looks like the favorite to be the #1 overall in 2011.

Probable Starters

Iowa: RHP Mike Parisi (2009: 0-2, 4.70 ERA, 15.1 IP, 13 K, 7 BB)

Tennessee: RHP Andrew Cashner (2009: 3-4, 2.60 ERA, 100.1 IP, 75 K, 42 BB)

Daytona: ??

Peoria: RHP Robert Whitenack (2009: 0-4, 4.80 ERA, 54.1 IP, 33 K, 20 BB)

Does Daytona not keep any of their website stuff that up to date?

They didn't used to but now that they're with MiLB.com, I think they will. In years past, the Daytona News-Journal and my own notes were far more helpful (though, their old site had really detailed game recaps).

I missed these so much. Cashner, Whitenack, and Dolis, let's do this.

no love for Mathes???? j/k

________

Fricking hard to get in a Cubs question on the BA chat. Sent in every possible question I could come up with.

________

Reason why I almost enjoy following the minors than the majors - you don't have as many "end of the world" or "we are so great" posts. Emotions are more stable following the minors.

no more in-game box scores? that is extremely lame.

Wow, that's horrible. Iowa and Tennessee have Gameday, so that's something.

Mathes is getting rocked and Fuld has a single.

dolis or whoever is pitching for daytona seems to be doing well; they have 3 IP without a hit.

This new layout for MILB.com sucks. No in-game box score, horrible link structure and navigation....completely took a step backwards in user friendliness.....Who can we complain to????

looks like box scores are up now.

dolis had a really good game: 5 ip, 2 h, 0 r, 0 bb, 5 k.

b jackson is 0-2 with a walk and a K; lemahieu is 0-1 with 2 walks, burke is 0-3, vitters is 0-3 with 2 K's, lake is 0-2 with 2 K's.

Cashner's 1st inning: K looking, K looking, K swinging. 15 pitches, 11 strikes.

Yay.

If I know my Cubs, he'll be the setup man by June 15.

D-Cubs with only 1 hit through 7...they'll get it going.

Where are you seeing them? Wonder if it has anything to do with me on a Mac and using Google Chrome?

Ok, I see it now...they just had to work the kinks out I guess...still it ought to be available there in the top right of the team page where it shows the pitcher/batter.

Cashner's 2nd: K looking, K looking, K looking.

Disgusting.

So much for the concern about the low strikeout rate, I guess.

Awesome to see Dolis roll and Cashner do well so far (To be fair, that Mississippi lineup looks fairly weak). A bit surprised Rhee was called in to piggyback off Dolis. Didn't realize Mitch Atkins was shifted to the pen.

A bit surprised with Barney at 2nd and Camp at short. No issue with it, might as well get Barney prepped for a possible future and Camp can handle short fine, but a bit surprised.

Yes, Castro got a hit ... and stole a base!

A bit surprised that Cerda is the number 3 hitter. Early in the year, though.
