This happens everywhere. Didn't the Cardinals have one of their fielders run over by an automated rain tarp when warming up before a World Series game in the 80's.

You're thinking of Vince Coleman.

One of my all time favs was Clint Barmes falling down the stairs and breaking his collar bone carrying Todd Heltons groceries.

I thought it was deermeat

That's what he said.

I know it all seems ludicrous that someone could injure themselves doing something menial, but sometimes ish happens. I've strained my back several times doing everyday normal things like leaning over the sink to spit after brushing my teeth, getting out of my car, leaning over to put on my shoes, etc... but I've never strained my back doing heavy lifting, or playing any sports

Life is weird that way
