K-State/Mizzou games are always nightmarish foulfests, which is why we don't have much chance of winning in Manhattan unless we make everything. I feel pretty comfortable that we're better than KSU, so as long as we don't screw around before then we'll probably win in the 4/5 game in the B12 tourney.

Every game Mizzou plays is a foul fest. How is KSU any different than other games Mizzou plays on the road and can't win?

 

Because KSU commits more fouls than just about anyone, Mizzou included.

Mizzou's entire defense is based on clubbing the [expletive] out of people. They foul more than any team in america.

 

It wasn't an editorial statement(or even particularly negative toward KSU for that matter). Mizzou is 3rd in the Big 12 in fouls committed, KSU is 2nd

We won't suck. I'm expecting middle of the pack Big 12. A lot of the guys playing big minutes are freshmen and sophomores. They'll be competitive.

As are you and your expectations of Illinios. We lose Pullen and Kelly.. That's it. It is a lot, but there will be a LOT of experienced players on this team.

Those are the only players on ksu worth a damn. Kstate will suck next year.

Mizzou will bring back more than anyone next year, the cats will be a top 5 in the new Big 10. Too much experience not to. Pullen + Kelly account for 28 of the 73 per game we score. Quit being so dilusional.

Didn't come here for a spelling lesson after 2 bottles of wine. My apologies. Mizzou DOES foul more than anyone in the nation. It's just not called. When you play a pressure defense like that, there are constantly reach ins, slaps on the wrists/hands, bumps. The style they play leads to a LOT of contact that is not called. Is it a foul, YES. Is it called, not all the time, especially at home.

 

Comparing Huggins and Martin to Quinn cheating Snyder and Anderson is laughable in itself.

 

By the way, people were comparing KSU and Mizzou, saying that Mizzou only lost cuz they played in Manhattan. I hope we get to meet in KC, because the game was in the exact same place when we played in piss town Columbia with 5 mins left as it was today.

This wasn't a difficult argument to follow. Mizzou and K-State have always played in foul-riddled bloodbaths, they've averaged 45 fouls per game in their matchups the last 3 years. Because of this, and because of how difficult it is to win on the road in such whistle-fests, it's no surprise neither team did so in that time frame. It looks like you'll get your wish in the Big 12 tournament, although like I said, I think Mizzou is probably a better team on a neutral floor.

Snyder? Hahaha, that guy has been gone for over five years and nobody will defend him! And please, educate me on what puts Mike Anderson in crazy Frank Martin's class. Oh right he recruited Stefhon Hannah, then four other guys who he didn't recruit got into a fight. What an indictment!

Purdue doesn't have to be the top 2 to be in BYU's bracket, but I'd guess they have plenty of work to do for that spot. They're in a cluster of 3 or 4 teams for the last couple of 2 seeds at the moment.

Next year without really looking too much I'd say

Kansas-until one of you schools quits giving them titles I am putting them here.

Texas-Rick Barnes adds another great recruiting class

Baylor-Quincy Miller and Duece Bello added to a decent core.

Mizzou-Mohamed Abukar added to a good team that reurns pretty much everyone.

OSU-LeBryan Nash is the crap.

should all be a lot better than you.

 

So I guess you could be 6th out of 10.

 

And for Illinois. I predict a long year.

I'm hoping Texas gets in the BYU or Duke bracket, assuming Duke still gets a #1 seed. If Texas wins the Big 12 tourney then I think they will get a #1 seed.
