Don't suppose you had to look that stat up spaz

I live in Kansasy City moron. I hear about it on our radio everyday. No I didn't have to look it up. And the really funny thing is you thinking I'm dumb for thinking he ran a better program than what we have now.

No I think you're a pathetic hanger on who hasn't gotten over his girlfriend dumping him 6 years ago.

I don't even really want Self back. Just someone who can manage to win us a tournament game more often than we have a presidential election. That too much to ask for?

Not at all. As I've said multiple times in these threads the past 4 years have been unacceptable, but firing Weber now is really locking up the barn door after the horse got out. He recruited like [expletive], and our teams became mediocre because of it, save '08-'09. Recruiting had always been the issue and now we're recruiting well, and people won't let go of the previous few years. You don't sign a free agent based on what he's done in the past, you sign him based on what you expect from the future. What do you expect over the next 4 years? That's what's important when deciding what to do with the head coach. We should be no worse than a 5 seed this season(I've personally predicted a 3), failure to secure a top 6 seed this year would be a failure, and a failure to win a tourney game (even with the crapshootiness of it) would be a miserable failure.

And I have little faith in this happening. Ever since Dee Brown left campus we've been average to worse. As for the recruiting thing, the next guy would do fine. Just keep Jerrance here.

I think we have to make the second weekend this year. I don't think we will. I think next year will be a step backwards becuase of not having a true poing with experience. After that we could lose Myers and Jereme.

I expected to lose both after their sophomore years before the season started, but Meyers doesn't look like he's ready to go within one more season. I guess with a guy of his size, it doesn't take much, but I'm just not seeing the NBA skills developing that quickly.

he won't be ready, but that doesn't mean he can;t get drafted highly. He's a freak athlete. I really think we need to land a commitment from one of the '13 kids soon to keep this thing rolling.

I wouldn't mind pulling the trigger on Austin now, just to let the '13 kids know we're still bringing kids in. Nobody expects Parker to commit anywhere before his senior year, but I really think we've got Hamilton as long as we don't tank.

Is it a sure thing that Austin would commit if offered? And who are our '13 targets besides Hamilton and Parker?

It's pretty well assumed about Austin. Foster's the other big name in Illinois for '13, but we're in on a few of the others along with a couple Indiana guys, Basil Smotherman, the name that comes to mind there. Peter Jok from IA was supposed to be at our midnight madness but couldn't get a ride.

Quick, IG, we need to start fighting again, the lead is slipping.

Was showering before work. Bill Self is a God that sleeps with beautiful women on a mountain of money.

Many are saying Foster to Purdue.

Yeah, I meant to note that he didn't seem too keen on Illinois

Kaufman Stadium is ugly, and Ron Guenther should be given a lifetime contract.

Absurd and why not Jim Hendry has one. Maybe Your hero Kenny Williams will come save the Illini.

To give a general gauge, Oakland is about IU/Iowa good this year, maybe a little better. Best team in the Summit by far, but a likely low 13/high 14 seed.

Guenther pretty much already has one doesn't he?

Kenny always gets his man!!!!!!!

Rajon Rondo has more titles at this age than Michael Jordan did, just saying.

I'm spending my evening studying, but I've been following the gametracker and walked into this conversation. We can't fire Bruce, simply because no one will take this job who we would want. Your expectations are out of whack, we aren't IU, we aren't Kansas, we aren't Duke, UCLA or Kentucky. No one is leaving a good gig in a major conference to come here.

As bad as Bruce has been, and as much as I hate him for what he did to the program, firing him at this point will not improve the program. What more do you want from him? We know he is a good coach, he's picked up his recruiting, just give him a chance.

Anyways, since I'm curious who would be on your short list.

Wait, are you serious? What he did to the program? Yeah, getting to the national championship was a black eye for the program.

I will kill you. Kill you dead. Rajon Rondo should be one of my favorites, but Tubby snatched him from us at the last second. Likely due to his son being the ugliest man ever.

What has happened since then? Besides that huge win over Air Force?

I think you would be suprised at who we could get. The natrual allure of Chicago is enough to draw in some looks. I'd really like Lon Kruger back. I loved Lon.
