DePaul signed Shane Larkin, son of former Reds SS Barry Larkin today. #62 in the country according to Rivals. That's 3 guards signed so far from Purnell. Not bad. Going to be a run and gun team, might as well have guys who can run and jump and handle the ball.

Waiting on Mike Shaw to hopefully be the big man for the class (although he will/should probably go to Illinois).

shaw's got to pass the act first.

Otherwise he'll have to go to West Virginia?

I think it's West Virginia or Illinois for Shaw

like i said, he's got the act to pass first.anyways, last week i would have told you marquette, but he said some weird things about them after MM.

i think that eliminates irvin's first choice, so now he has to sell the heck out of west virginia in order to make any money, because neither illinois nor depaul pays players, handlers or aau coaches.

if it were up to shaw, he'd just be a kid and go and be with his friends at illinois or depaul. i think illinois leads for him now after the strange weekend in milwaukee, to be honest.

LeBryan Nash to pick his team on TV tomorrow. That pretty much rules out KU, who almost never gets picked under these circumstances. (And I'm not counting Selby unless he gets cleared to play.)

keaton miles just took the last scholarship wvu had to offer in this class. it looks very good for the illini as i think his visit to marquette was disappointing and depaul is trailing greatly.

As you said it means nothing but I'm kind of surprised Butler isn't higher. Doesn't pretty much everyone come back from their team last year?

Did NC find a point guard yet?

Was that done before Robbie Hummel's leg exploded?

By the ranking, it seems some weird mixture. They surely would be higher with Hummel, but surely should be lower without. I don't see how No. 8 makes sense either way.

Kendall Marshall was a pretty good recruit at PG. Larry Drew is still expected to start and I think he will be perfectly adequate for them. A bigger problem for them is their complete lack of big guys (especially considering Zeller's injury history).

Not that it means anything, but #3 preseason looks great to me! KSU may have the toughest OOC schedule of anyone this year. It's at least up there with the best of them:

VA Tech

in KC vs Gonzaga

in KC vs Duke or Marquette

@ Washington State

in Sunrise Fla vs Florida

UNLV

Should prepare them well for the tournament.

Oh, and holy crap, Devon Peterson just joined the team as a walk on. KSU just got even MORE athletic!

That's just as tough OOC for sure, but we see 2 of those teams 3x in the regular season. :)
