I hate to admit this, but I am extremely happy. Go back to mediocrity Purdue.

Classy. I wouldn't count on Purdue going back to mediocrity anytime soon.

Oh, has Painter been recruiting another super class that nobody knows about? Because otherwise, yeah they are in for a bit of a slide.

Just one Indiana player. No clue what Painter was doing with that class.

Edit: And the injury officially takes PU out of the Chasson Randle derby.

How many four star SG's does Purdue really need? Byrd (2009), Johnson (2010), Davis (2012)?

If by 'super class' you mean four star recruit after four star recruit, then yes. Purdue will have the same number of four star recruits on the roster next year as they did last year. Maybe it's more about coaching ability? Could be?

Great response! Maybe they'll be able to finish in 5th or 6th place this year. They're certainly no match for IU.

Extremely happy that one of the best players in the country, not to mention a good kid that works hard and stays out of trouble, has a career threatening injury? Classy.

Camp Randall was the most electric I have ever seen it last night. I was at the game in 2004 when Wisconsin beat OSU when they had won 19 games in a row, but last night's crowd was so much more.

I'll be the first to admit that the crowd should be better in Madison than it is at times, but I couldn't imagine it any better than last night. I know it was just a regular season game, and we already pooped our pants vs. MSU, but last night was an experience I won't forget anytime soon. We pushed their asssses around on the Oline and had a fantastic showing on national TV.

Not to get away from the win at hand, but that win/atmosphere had to speak volumes for recruiting purposes too.

FYI, this is the college basketball thread.

In college basketball it's all about talent, not coaching ability. Also accrording to Rivals since your big 3 showed up in '07 Painter has had 10 3 star recruits and 5 4 stars. Not exactly 4 star after 4 star.

Bo Ryan says hi.

Hi Bo, I think it's awesome that you have convinced everyone that the 4 star and 5 star talent and that you have had play for you wasn't talent. Is it because a lot of these guys are white? Is that how you are able to convince everyone that you are coaching up really bad talent?

some guy with the name of bleacherbadger brought up bo ryan. surprise surprise.

Eh, that one at least a lot of people can get behind. Him dropping Wooden and K as guys who do more with less is epic win.

I'm excited because now Purdue won't be as good. I feel for the kid, but I hope the program drowns. It's never good when a player gets hurt, but I'm not going to sit back and engage in the sob fest over his ACL. Injuries happen as part of the game, get over it and move on. I never hoped for Robbie to get hurt again, but I'm also not blind to the effects the injury has on the rest of the Big Ten.

i want illinois to be the best in the big ten, but i also want competition. shoving it down purdue's throat with hummel on the court would have been satisfying.

Trust me Sulley, if Illinois wins the Big Ten you'll be plenty satisfied. It's been quite some time since we've raised a banner of any kind.

05 is too long? This isn't the Big 12.

There have been few teams that I've had as much anticipation for as the 2009-2010 Boilermakers and the 2010-2011 Boilermakers. I think the 2009 Cubs and 2006 Bears are the only ones that top them. It's kinda funny that every one of those teams can be best described as disappointing.

Kinda funny. Mostly just sad. I was really looking forward to watching Purdue play this year.
