Is this thursday. Is there a thread where we will join while it's going on or is it ok to just go ahead and post here? I just assumed we were doing game threads for ST games, didn't we do that last year or am I remembering wrong?

Anyone know if I will be able to listen online through WGN's site? Bud probably has the ST games blacked out too, but maybe that slipped past him.

There are no blackouts in Gameday Audio.

Is this a late start to spring training games? I feel like they usually begin at the end of February, or least my March 1.

ST was extended last year due to the WBC.

But that is not a free service. Or is it free for ST games?

I don't know if it will be free for ST games or not, but a free service and blackouts are different things. You should have been more clear in your original post.

He wasn't talking about Gameday Audio. WGN Radio broadcasts for free on the internet, but it is blacked out during Cubs games.

cool to see colvin play can't wait to "listen" to how he does, lol. So where did you get the lineup?

There was mention on cubs.com that castro might start the first game. Guess that plan was scratched.

It may only be the first preseason game, but I can't wait to hear Pat Hughes utter those first words of spring... "Chicago Cubs baseball is on the air".

Best day of the spring.

Winter, technically. :P

I'm gonna be there Sunday, Monday and Tuesday of next week. Anybody else? I got extras. One right behind home plate like 2nd or 3rd row, and another first row right behind the Cubs dugout...

Yes and no.

Astronomically, you're right.

But in meteorology, he's right.

Sorry. I don't know how I misread that.

I just paid $14.99 for the MLB At Bat app for the iPhone and am listening to Pat & Ron as I type this. It makes me smile to hear their voices, the crack of the bat, and the roar of the crowd.
