Very well deserved.

USA Canada was everything that Canada -Russia was supposed to be but with fewer goals scored.

It's important to remember that if the US hadn't beaten Canada they might not have even won a medal.

I was disappointed that Toews didn't get more love from the Canadian crowd. He was their best player throughout the tournament but he got about the same applause as Seabrook.

Nearly half of the Canadian population watched the entire game on average, while 80 percent of Canadians watched some part of the game
They were a million short from the American viewership

I thought he got a pretty nice ovation that stood out from most.

Even though I'm saying this as a casual fan at best, hockey is a lot more engrossing without the fighting. That game was so streamlined and thrilling it was ridiculous.

I think the fighting has nothing to do with it. This game felt streamlined and thrilling because there were barely any commercials, and I believe none in the 3rd period and OT, it was filled with the best players in the game, and it was US/Canada for gold in Canada. Very few NHL games are actually marred by fighting. At most there's one short battle that ends quickly and they go on from there.

yeah, fighting had nothing to do with it. it seems like casual fans think that there are a ton of fights every game or something. there aren't.

it felt different because of lack of commercials

He deserved the same ovation that Miller got.
