just keep fitzgerald on the bench and kneel on the damn ball.

If they'd thrown a pass to him there, I think you could convince everyone of your "the universe is out to get you" theory. Especially after the Illinois game

the universe isn't out to get me per se, it's just out to ruin my sports life.

Worst I ever saw was a college player who got his body spun around his knee back around 1992. It was a game that had nothing to do with Chicago, I believe, but it made the local news (with a warning)

Damn it, Favre tossing picks in the 3rd quarter was exactly what I didn't need. I had Warner, Boldin AND Breaston and needed probably 25 more points to win. Instead the Cards stopped passing and gave the ball to my opponent's RB, Beanie Wells.

Good game by the Colts yesterday. The Titans got a good game out of CJ, but he wasn't able to break a long run, forcing the Titan defense to work the ball down the field every time. That led to two interceptions, a field goal instead of a TD and two drives with failed two-point conversions (I agreed with going for both).

You can't have that happen and expect to beat a Peyton Manning-led team. Nonetheless, Vince had another solid game and made some very nice passes. He had Nate Washington deep down the left sideline on one pass and it was a perfect throw, but Nate dropped it. That would've been a long TD probably.

We're not eliminated from the playoffs quite yet, but 9-7 isn't very likely at all to have a chance at the playoffs barring crazy luck. They were a longshot anyway and maybe the strong showing in the second half of the year will help some of the young guys (Vince, Britt, Nate, etc) next year.

With Pittsburgh and Baltimore struggling as they have, pretty much the only team that could be tricky to catch is Jacksonville. Denver, they probably won't catch.

Problem is, there are only the 2 wild card spots and Jax and Denver currently have those locked up. Both are very likely to finish better than 9-7 at this point. We'd have been far more likely to tie with one of them at 10-6. It's possible, though very unlikely.

I think 9-7 has a pretty decent chance of making the 6 spot in the AFC. But I can't see the Titans making it. They have terrible tiebreaker scenarios. They have head to head losses against both Pittsburgh and the Jets. They will lose the divisional tiebreaker with Jacksonville. And they will lose the conference tiebreaker to everybody.

So the only way they could sneak in the playoffs is if the only other team to get to 9-7 is Houston (who they would beat because of a better divisional record). But they need everyone else besides Denver to finish 8-8 or worse (I'm assuming that Denver wins at least one game out of their last 4) and that would be very tricky to have happen.

This seems similar to 2006 (I think) when we needed something like five different things to happen in week 17 for us to make the playoffs. All of them happened, except one - we lost to the Pats that week. This seems very similar to that playoff scenario.

Good half defense.

Offense picked it up those final few drives too. It took us long enough, but it's nice to see us playing like this.

Yeah for sure.

It's nice to see Rodgers get time to throw and Finley is really starting to turn into one of the better TE in the league.
