On third and 5, I don't know about that call.

That was a perfect call.

It might have lost the Bears the game.

i dont know why youre having such a hard time understanding the difference between a bad call and a bad throw.

if cutler does his job, that's a touchdown and you're probably praising the call

No it didnt. Cutler missing the WR might have cost the Bears the game, not the damn play call. You are being ridiculous.

Them running something intermediate might have lost them the game too.

That was the right call. The call didn't lose the game. The execution did.

As has been said before, you have to look at what your QB has done up to this point. There was a greater probability of completing a 7 yarder than a 40 yarder.

How so? Would the 7-yarder have a receiver who was open by 2+ steps in single coverage against a banged up DB?

He's missed on passes underneath 10 yards also. Why are you completely ignoring half of the equation? The defense isn't meaningless. You got your fastest player in single coverage against a hobbled CB with no help to the outside.

I don't get it.

The WR was WIDE [expletive] OPEN how can you bitch about the play call. Isn't that the goal? Every QB in the league can complete that throw with regularity, but it didnt happen this time. I hate Ron Turner and I hate defending him, but god damn that was the perfect call. Your fastest WR in single coverage vs a gimp ass CB. Come on
