Bulls losing by double digits at halftime. Charlotte and Milwaukee winning (Milwaukee up double digits over Cleveland), Miami close with Atlanta. Typical day for the Bulls lately.

At leas the Bulls FO are getting a reminder as to why VDN should not brought back.

I know it's weird to say after Kirk just made a three but it seems like the only team that ever misses jumpers is the Bulls.

Rose with a monster night tonight... pretty much all I care about...

34 on 15/22 (when he wasn't even getting to the basket that much) and 8 assists... damn

it's a shame he's not the defender, rebounder or distributor that westbrook is. oh well, 2nd best guard from your draft class is still a pretty lofty accomplishment.

You're baiting me but I'll bite. I'll start out by saying that I have a lot of respect for Westbrook and I am impressed with his abilities. He's lit up Derrick Rose on the few occasions they've met. But they are two different types of players you are comparing. Westbrook IS a great distributor, he can rebound very well for a point guard. And yes Rose definitely has his shortcomings on defense. Severe shortcomings. But defense is something that players can improve over a career. Sure he probably doesn't have above average defense in him, but I'm confident he'll be an average defender or slightly better in time. Rose has proven to be a scorer, or at least is one right now because no one on the Bulls can score besides him most of the time. If you put Kevin Durant on the Bulls instead of Luol Deng, wouldn't you think Rose's assist numbers would be higher? If the Bulls had one reliable person who could shoot from outside, don't you wonder if Rose would be an even better scorer? If Rose didn't have a player on his team averaging 12 rebounds a game, do you think maybe his rebounds would be better?

I mean who knows, but right now Derrick Rose is taking a pretty crappy team with no scoring ability and has at least made it into a .500 team. Westbrook is the 2nd or 3rd guy who will always defer to the superstar. Bottom line, if I had to start a team tomorrow and had to pick one of the 2, I think I'd take Rose. But as far as who will be better when all is said and done, I'd be willing to say "too early to tell"

You're not breaking any news. There isn't a single person in the universe, including imb, who would honestly take Westbrook over Rose. Westbrook's a piece, a very nice one, but not a franchise guy and he's in situation where he won't ever have to be that. Plus his jumper is defective. Basically the only guy in league history that was a legitimate franchise player (excluding bigs) that had a broken jumper is Jason Kidd for a few years in a terrible Eastern Conference.

i was really just messing around, i love derrick rose

i doubt either gm would do a straight up swap, even if they had swallowed truth serum. westbrook will probably never be the scorer that rose is already, but he (for the last couple months, anyway) fits perfectly with our roster build

Green seems like he has to be the odd man out in OKC. He's a decent player but you never contend with those tweener forwards.

yup, pretty much

it's really durant's fault, or i guess presti/carleisimo's, actually.

they drafted KD to be a 2 guard and for green to be the 3, but when it was apparent that that was a stupid plan and that durant couldn't be the 2, that meant that poor old uncle jeff had to move to the 4.

i'd love to get a real 4 in the offseason, and i think green would be a great sixth man, but it's hard to demote a guy that has started since his rookie year. also, i think he's durant's best friend on the team, so hopefully they've been dropping "watching your friends move on to other teams is the nature of the game" hints to him.

i'm really afraid that presti, who by all accounts is really smart, is going to get married to this weird chemistry thing we've got going on, and keep green around despite his obvious deficiencies.

Also, Durant is going to get a max deal, of course, and they're going to have to pay westbrook a nice chunk, after next year, so im not sure how much dough will be around for green, anyway.

god, you've got me going now. i've thought about the power forward conundrum so much this year

also, let me gush over KD real quick

offense is 12 points better with him on the court, defense is four points better with him on the court. when he's at the SF, his PER is 14 points greater than the opposing small forward

HE'S 21 YEARS OLD

my only concern is that since he'll never be any kind of distributor, his ceiling is limited to being a better carmelo anthony, which is dope, but people around here have this vision of him improving every year for the next 8 years and it doesn't seem reasonable to me

so in 2 games the Bulls move from the 5 seed down to the 8 seed, and are one loss away from dropping to #9 (and falling below .500 again)

And their next six are against Utah, Orlando, Miami, Memphis, Dallas and Cleveland.

Shows how ridiculous it is to think that their final record is going to wildly sway the opinions of FA's of the team back and forth.

Better beat Memphis.

They can't have known Noah's injury would be such a tough nut to crack. And I do think Noah makes a big difference on this club.

They'll likely continue to slide.

If N&G is right, then it won't matter and I don't care.
