Well, 3 in a row now. I'm guessing this means Vinny is in until year's end.

The thing is the schedule sets up pretty good now for a while too, which means they probably get into the playoffs with a 7 or 8 seed, which means Del Negro would probably stay.

Somehow they're taking a 12 point lead into the 4th. Hold off the Magic and it will be a quality job. Not sure how they got Howard into foul trouble but it certainly hasn't hurt.

16 points for Derrick.......in the third quarter.

I still expect Orlando to have a decent shot at pulling this off but the Bulls are looking much better.

I hate when they play this well against good teams like this because now I am going to get moderately excited and then they will go and lose to the Wolves next week before winning a game at best on their road trip at the end of the month.

4 in a row for them and a couple of them were decent wins.

With Toronto and Miami both losing tonight, the Bulls are amazingly 1/2 game out of the 6th seed (Toronto) and 2 games out of the 5th seed (Miami)

That road trip is going to murder us. It's actually longer than the circus trip and I believe they are all against the West with no softie like Milwaukee at the end.

Road trip:

Golden State

Clippers

Phoenix

Houston

San Antonio

Oklahoma City

New Orleans

Phoenix and Houston are on back-to-back nights

They then come home against the Clippers, then play 3 of their next 4 on the road again. That's right: 10 road games out of 11 between 1/18 and 2/9. That's BRUTAL

With only 3 wins on the road I have no faith they are winning any of those.

I'd do it. I think I read the trade would make us pick up 1.5 mil in salary but I think it would make us more attractive to FAs. We might be able to do a deal later to get more money for max contract.

The problem I have is that Butler is a SF and not a SG, so who plays were would be what I be asking.

its sucks that the joke that is called the eastern conference might save his job

No matter what happens this year, outside of something ridiculously unexpected like a deep playoff run, VDN will not be back next year. Who cares if some better play this year = no crappy interim coach like Pete Meyers in between?

Yeah I can see the inconstancy but the East is so full of crap that they could probably lose every game of that road trip and still be fine playoff wise.

All right, I'm about ready to way too prematurely declare Rose a superstud. Kid's becoming unstoppable.

No doubt hes a super stud.. His struggles early on were 100% due to injury no question in my mind. His last 7 games hes avg'ing near 26ppg 5ssists and 5 boards. Hes sick

He's kinda a smaller SF right? Maybe he could switch there and still be somewhat as effective? Of course you don't trade for a borderline all star and then tell him to switch positions because of Luol Deng but still. The team just needs more talent.

I was in complete disbelief when people on other boards were starting to turn on Rose and call him a bust after his slow start. I know we are a society of immediacy, but people have to get some perspective when a 19 year old kid 2 years out of high school is struggling a bit in between flashes of superstar potential.
