Derrick has to demand the ball there. Salmons was playing like a dumbass but Rose needs take control in that situation and go rip the ball out of his hands if it comes to that.

This could be a big big road win if the Bulls can pull it out.

Terrible possessions by both teams the last two tries. It looked rushed.

Lebron travels on nearly every drive.

Huge win.

I like this team, although I'm certain that Salmons would be playing his way out of a spot if we had an adequate replacement for him.

Trade for DWade around the midseason mark?

Heh, the Bulls are in first place.

While the Bulls lose Ben Gordon, I like them better with Deng at 3 and Salmons at 2. The defense is much improved.

Gordon could score, but he was too streaky for me and wasn't particularly good at getting fouled at the end of the game. If there was a consistent way to measure +/-, Gordon would be at the very bottom of that category too.

Can't they just wait to sign him?

They could, but give 'em Salmons. If the Bulls think they want to get out of the first round, you gotta get Wade. But you are right, you don't have to do this now. But you could get outbid for him in the offseason.

Isn't Salmon's deal only through this season? If so, why would they take him for Wade? A trade for Wade seemingly would require the Bulls to give up players that they need. It doesn't make much sense to do that when they can just wait until the offseason and sign him without giving up anyone.

2-1 against title contenders now. This team has been pretty exciting to watch. Much more fun then the early part of last season.

By exciting, you mean slow-paced and boring. Outside of the SA game and tonight, we've been a dreadful team to watch at the beginning part of the season.

That doesn't take anything away from this win though. Our defensive intensity is much improved this year, which is real good to see. Anytime you can get a win at the Q, it's real impressive. I just hope this team can start scoring more points, though.

Wins=exciting. Wins vs the best teams in the league=even more exciting.

I'll agree with that.

Nice job tonight, guys. Neither team played extremely well, but I thought it was a pretty fairly officiated game. I'll wait a little more than 6 games before I start to get worried, but the Cavs' offense has looked absolutely terrible. Good win.

Salmons has a player option after this year, but it's assumed he'll decline it and become a FA at the end of the year.

As for Wade, there's a 0% chance he's traded this season.

Why wouldn't Miami want to get something in return for him? I would guess that the chances of him returning to the Heat next year are slim, no?

It's early for the Cavs. They're more worried about having enough left in the tank for May. Not so much worried about November. That's how I read it anyway. Good win for the Bulls, but not really that bad a loss for the Cavs.

Why would a team give up the haul it would take to get him when he would just be a FA a short time later? It's not like baseball trades where you can give up prospects for a player that's likely to be a rental but can be a difference maker for a few months. With this the team trading for him would likely have to give up key players that they were banking on making/keeping them competitive in the first place.

Because if you wait for Wade to be a FA you have to convince him to take a less deal financially then what he would get from the Heat, and let me ask you this: how many players have you seen take a lesser deal from a new team and leave a max deal on the table? Very rare, if ever. The idea would be to trade for him in season to give your team that advantage to sign him long-term.

With that said, if the Heat are in contention (or even if they are not) there is no chance the Heat will trade the only guy Heat fans pay to see.
