The game that called the Ark-Fla game last week has been suspended.

THANK GOD, because they were scheduled to do the Ole Miss/Ark game this week and I woulda been pretty scared of some big makeup calls.

#3 or #4 in the big ten is like a below average team in the sec or pac 10

name the 3rd best team in the Pac 10.

hell, name the 4th best SEC team.

Ole Miss, Arkansas, Auburn, South Carolina?

I have LSU at 3rd in the SEC, even though I think they are way way overrated this year.

Apparently the difference between the SEC/Pac 10 and the other four BCS conferences is about the difference between those four BCS conferences and the MWC. Really it's a two tiered conference system. The SEC/Pac 10, and everyone else.

80.42 #3 Penn State

78.18 #4 Wisconsin

Average SEC team is 78.48 and average Pac 10 is 79.30.

Wisconsin's below average in the two...

interesting way of framing your argument, because the SEC has two teams with a 93 rating and the pac 10 has two teams with high 80s, which cause the conference average to be pretty high. penn state's 80.42 would put them at #4 in the SEC and #5 in the Pac 10, while Wisconsin's 78.18 would put them at #6 in the SEC and #8 in the Pac 10. so #3 in the big ten is not like a below average team in either conference.

All of whom would probably be a coin-flip against #1 Big Ten team big bad Iowa.

not according to the ratings that you're using as a basis for your argument here.

the Big Ten SUCKS this year. On the other hand there is a tremendous amount of parity this year in the SEC.

no there's not. there are two great teams and then a bunch of decent but flawed teams, and two teams that suck. aside from the big ten's lack of top-end teams the conferences are pretty similar.

and those two top teams really aren't blowing those mediocre teams out save for a few examples. Florida only beat Tennessee and LSU by 10 and Arkansas by 3.

I normally like to rag on the Big 10 but any SEC honk that is going on about conference superiority this year is fooling themselves.

The quarterback play in the SEC is unbelievably god awful. No way that they're blowing most conferences out of the water when the QBs suck that much.

Do you really think Iowa can beat Arkansas more than half the time? One thing Iowa can't do is score. One thing Iowa hasn't faced is a pass happy SEC offense like Arkansas. It's a good matchup for the Razorbacks. South Carolina's outstanding defense would keep the game close and be a coin flip game. Ditto for Ole Miss. Auburn's probably not a coin flip. Ironically enough Auburn's probably #7, 8 or 9 in the SEC. Hell, Tennessee would be a coin flip game too. Iowa can't score against an average defense, much less good ones that most of the SEC possess. So we can say that Iowa will probably score, on average between 14 and 17 points in those games. I like Arkansas's chances of putting up at least three touchdowns on Iowa. I like South Carolina's chances to put up 14-17 consistently. I like Tennessee's chances of being able to put up 14-17 consistently. It's pretty damn close.

No, you're right. Iowa would not be able to compete with teams like South Carolina. In fact, they would probably get blown out.

easy there captain hyperbole, all he said was that it would be a coin flip and laid out his reasons why. If SEC don't have good QB's this year, they DEFINITELY have good defenses.

Hyperbole was deserved since a worse Iowa team was up on South Carolina 31-0 in the third quarter last year.
