I fail to see how Bly's play is funny.

Because he was showboating with 60 yards to go and got caught about 10 yards after he was showboating.

Its so nice to have Matt Hasselbeck back....oh yeah, the seahawks can be a good team when some of the better players like Hass and Lofa are playing. Lucky Bears...

Please beat Minnesota when you guys play them. Thanks.

I guess that will depend on whether they are totally healthy or not. Apparently Seattle can only play when healthy, and nobody else has injuries to deal with, so anyone who goes up against them when they aren't 100% is just lucky.

Last night was nothing new. The Titans are terrible.

One more loss to the Patriots Sunday and then it's probably time to see what Vince can do the rest of the year. Let him play and see if he can be the QB next year. Either way I might be in favor of a youth movement this offseason. We'll have a top 5 pick it appears, and guys like Ndamakong Suh and Eric Berry would look really nice as Titans.

i think that's still highly unlikely, probably more 6-8 range

There are some really, really bad teams. But if they mail it in and put Young out there, they'll win 2-3 games and that will get a top-5 pick.

Yeah, there are a bunch of teams that are so bad they will likely have the Titans beat by the end of the year:

KC

CLE

STL

BUF

OAK

DET

I expect these teams to squeeze out a few more wins than the above, even though they have poor records right now:

TEN

CAR

MIA

That would put Tennesee in the 7-9 range, pretty much like you said.

We probably only have 3 solid wins on the schedule at this point (Buf, StL, Sea) and considering Seattle as any kind of a solid win is probably stretching it a bit. We'll likely be 0-6 entering the bye and we have Jacksonville and San Francisco immediately after it. 0-8 to start the year is a real possibility.

This team as it's playing now isn't likely to win 5 games.

Yeah, they aren't going to win at Seattle, but they should win against Jax at home.

But these other clubs probably can't say they have a single win on their schedules. That's the point. If they beat anybody it will be a surprise, unless they play each other.

Yeah, didn't notice it was at Seattle on first look. That's probably a loss.

Home against Arizona could be a win, but the secondary will have to really play in that one. And I don't know if we're playing physically enough to beat Jacksonville this year. Them blowing us out with ease makes me wonder if we can beat them.

I just don't see 5-8 teams managing to win less than 5 games. Maybe I'm being overly pessimistic on the Titans right now, but winning five games would be quite the accomplishment. A more realistic number right now would probably be 3.

You could be right, but if I had to bet on one of these teams picking themselves up and having a half-way decent go of it, I'd pick TEN or CAR. Tennessee because I can't see Fisher letting them give up, and CAR because I feel there's some decent talent there.

I can see CLE, BUF, STL, KC, OAK just giving up. Maybe DET too, although they've been a little more game IMO.

Tennessee might be a better team than 1/4 of the league, but that doesn't mean they'll win more games. They have a tough schedule this year, with no gimmes within the division.

There are also a LOT of bad teams this year. Oakland, KC, Buffalo, Cleveland, St. Louis, Tampa, Carolina, Detroit, Washington and Miami are all teams that have played terrible this year.

There might not be any gimmes, but there is only one good team in that division as well. Both the others are mediocre.

The volume of bad football teams in the NFL this year is hopefully an anomaly. I don't look forward to more Sundays like yesterday.

You had a 4-0, 3-1, and two 2-2 teams that are considered playoff contenders on a bye, with every single bad team playing. This coming week you have a true headliner matchup at 1 and two more "should be decent games". The afternoon games kind of stink, but both primetime matchups at least look good on paper. But you're also missing a 5-0 team on a bye, a division leader, and a contender. But at least there's a bad team on a bye in Miami.

Suh *should* be a top 3 pick in the draft so I doubt the Titans will have a shot at him. But the 2010 draft should be very deep with DTs and guys like Gerald McCoy and Terrence Cody should be top 10 picks.

Even with the season we may end up having, I realize Suh and Berry are likely pipe dreams. Suh really reminds me of Albert Haynesworth, though, with his great athletic ability mixed with great size.

My early wish list in the draft right now probably revolves around Bradford, Suh, Berry and Gerald McCoy. Other options would include trading down to target a linebacker or really move down (like late first round) and think about Tebow – but not as a QB necessarily.
