since the decision to put the PSU game on ESPN Classic has made this a bye week for me, it's time to figure out what other games to watch.

 

but seriously.....why isn't my game on Big Ten Network?

 

IU is on espn360. Which isn't available with my internet provider. Isn't the purpose of the Big Ten Network to allow us to watch all the games? I'm intrigued by IU-UVA too. And it's not like I can go to a bar and watch it.

 

That's really stupid that the Indiana game isn't on TV in freaking Bloomington. Being banished to only espn360 is about as bad as it gets.

Agreed. I've called around and some of the bars may try to work it out and hook the webcast up to a TV (not sure if that's technically kosher . . .). So hopefully there's that.

The Pac 10 really does a pathetic job of marketing itself. Stanford/Oregon State and Arizona/Washingon are nowhere to be found on my cable. No conference games on FSN and no games on Versus.

Early on the Illini getting creamed again, I gotta believe Zook' out after this season. Sure, the Illini have lost to some better teams but, a good portion of their futility is their own doing. Lack of execution, motivation that all lies on Zook and Company.

One can say their perfomance is proof that his recriuts are overrated but, all of them? I don't think so.

Recruiting only takes you so far. Zook can't develop talent for crap. Athletically there's just not that much of a difference at most positions between teams in BCS conferences. You're talking about teams that get maybe the top 5-10 players at their respective positions vs. teams that get the top 25 guys. It's not a huge gap overall.

That was kind of my point. They should be really good but their coach is awful. I might not have expressed that too well though.

i'm listening to the holy cross-brown game online. there cannot possibly be as many great catches as the announcer is making it sound like... it's a game between a patriot league and ivy league teams, not exactly premier athletes. i think our announcer is an old guy who is impressed by everything.
