Huet finished strong.

But again, Ellis stole this one in combination with the Hawks not being able to bury golden chances.

Tomorrow night should be entertaining.

Ugh, I hope this is just a skid. I'm counting on the Hawks to make me forget all my other Chicago sports woes.

Crosby is out tonight. Gotta win this one.

Good. And yes, this is a big one.

I don't know about all the doom and gloom talk though. In the last 8 they are 5-2-1, right? Sure, it's 1-2-1 in the last four, but I don't see any reason to freak out.

I do feel like Hossa has regressed a little since the first few games to the point of being invisible.

And I'm starting to very much wonder why Kopecky is on this team. He doesn't seem to be able to do anything well.

No reason to worry. Only in the NHL can you give your opponents 7 of 8 possible points and still take 3 of your own back (technically you could take up to 5 back). The Hawks weren't going to win every game, so as long as they are still taking ~1/2 the possible points while their slumping they'll be fine.

That Pittsburgh goal was the only goal Niemi has allowed in a month.

I know it's only a small sample size, but Niemi has impressed me enough to where I'd feel very confident with him going into next year if they were able to move Huet.

I'm leaning in that direction too. Sorry I missed this one, and really sorry I forgot to DVR it.

We've seen the Hawks outclass teams all year, but I can't say I have seen a game where it was clear the other team was better and more talented. Did that happen tonight?
