Did the forum change at all? I'm using the 67.225.136.72 link.

You should probably read the thread. :)

Site looks awesome Tim!

I just logged on, and scrolled down and noticed your avatar (you) starring back at me!

Congrats on all the improvements! And thanks for running such a great site that even a Brewer fan can enjoy :D

So Werner has the right IP address in Europe.

Not any more; although I'm sure it worked last night.

Same here. It was working last night for me, but now it's back to the old site. I'm back to using the IP.

Is the domain name suddenly working for anyone / everyone else?

i went to northsidebaseball.com and the front page came up, if that's what you mean.

yep, that's what I mean.

The domain is resolving to the right IP for me for the first time just now.

I can only get in through the IP now. I was able to get in through the domain yesterday and earlier today, but can't now.

After being able to see the new site with the domain name last night, the domain name now brings up the old site with the message about the new location.

Today is the first time that I got straight into the new forum. Before I would have to use the link posted at the emergency board. Now my saved link which used to take me to the forum, takes me to the home page and then when I clicked on the message board link, it remembered my password.

the remembering password thing will get fixed when the IP resolves correctly for everyone. I explained that in more detail in one of the blog posts on the front page.

Still IP only here. Never have been able to resolve the domain correctly.

I'll have to share my last 24 hours with you sometime. Tech customer service hell.

I just noticed...quoting looks kinda weird....the "blahblah wrote:" part is indented a bit, and it makes it a bit confusing on who exactly wrote which quote. Especially when there's 4-5 quotes.

I'm still kind of confused. I can't get to the site using my bookmark "northsidebaseball.com/forum/index". Is that not working for everyone else? Is that link done for good now? I'm still using he 67.225.136.72 link.

EDIT: Explains on front page nvm

okay...I think I'm finally through this after two-plus days. Here's the explanation I got from LiquidWeb:

Here's the sequence of events as near as I can tell:

When the technician parked this domain on our nameserver, he checked a

checkbox that gave it the ns.sourcedns.com nameservers in the zonefile. The

mismatch between the whois showing ns.liquidweb.com and the zonefile showing

ns.sourcedns.com caused erratic behavior. Some took the new IP from

ns.liquidweb.com, some decided that it wasn't a good idea and stuck with

the old IP that they had on hand. Some apparently changed their minds. While

that was going on, our support technicians naturally assumed that it was

normal propagation pains (as it is 99% of the time). After it had gone too

long to be just propagation pains, we noticed the mismatch between the whois

and the zonefile, and corrected it, starting new propagation.

I hope that help explains things; let me know if you have any more questions.

I'm impressed that they owned up to the mistake, actually. It gives me a much better feeling about it being fixed and going through properly now.

Of course, that means I'm still facing another 24 hours or so of it propagating through the net, but I think it should work okay, this time.
