Is it better to go back to the wide side menu and put a vertical cbs ad (like the front page) over there or to have it be a horizontal ad like the old one between the menus and the board index link?

Horizontal. Don't put that menu back....that was rough. :blackeye:

 

And yeah, I'm accessing by IP/~nsbb so that's where the pulldown menu link wasn't working. It's fine, I'm dealing...just wanted to mention in case you didn't know.

Alright, I figured out how to make the "nexus" style the default without forcing it on everyone.

 

I would like to migrate to the integrated look and feel, but I'll only inflict the style on myself and anyone else that wants to help out for now until I get the kinks worked out.

I like the style of the nexus theme, but I find it difficult to tell which threads have been read and which ones haven't. The contrast between the little white icon and the little yellow icon next to each thread isn't great enough.

It also comes with a darker set of icons that's easier to read, but they look weird on the light background.

The dark icons make it easier to discern read from unread, but they're ugly against the light background.

I changed it back to the light icons. You'll just have to trust ej and I that the dark ones are awful. :)
