Former 4-Star Redshirt Freshman QB Sean Renfree has come in for Thaddeus Lewis and gone 6-7 for 100 yards and 2 TD's against Army. The one imcompletion was because the WR fell. Duke's up 21-13.

 

There could be a quarterback controversy for Duke after this game. For once, it would be between two good QB's. Lewis has been good enough for Duke the last three years, but Renfree looks to be the real deal.

 

It may not matter if the offensive line continues to not give the QB any time, though.

Talk on the ND boards is that if Weis is the coach who's supposed to be the guy, the Irish will beat Michigan rather easily tomorrow. Rationale being we're a year ahead of them in the 'process' and are much more talented (particularly in the 'experienced talent' category). Interesting perspective.

 

BEAT MICHIGAN!

 

 

I dont know why but this has the feel of the game 3 or 4 years ago when ND was favored and Michigan just came off their 6-6 season. ND fans seem a little over confident about this one.

 

what makes this feel like that game?

I'm not sure if Iowa is any good or if we are just picking on an abysmal Iowa State team. It's nice to see a Frosh, RB play well though.

 

i'm still not sold on iowa. isu could not have played worse.

I'm not either. The line still looks weak at times and Stanzi is average at best. The D is good but ISU could have kept themselves in it if it weren't for some awful penalty's on there part. Plus they tried to throw deep a lot against a team that designed to prevent the deep ball.

 

I think they'll be top half of the Big Ten though because the conference just isn't that great.
