BYU just tied Oklahoma at 7 with 1:25 left before halftime.

 

Oklahoma has been better, but both teams have been really sloppy.

I was really happy with what I saw today from Tennessee. As I've said all day at the game and since it, it was only Western Kentucky, but the execution by the offense was excellent.

 

Monte's defense was dominant (same as last year), but the offense (especially Jonathon Crompton) looked sharp and crisp.

 

It'll be interesting to see how they look against UCLA and Florida the next two weeks. I think we can beat UCLA, but with Florida I'll just evaluate on how close we can keep it. The offense was extremely vanilla today (very likely by design), but it really was incredibly similar to watching USC (not surprising).

 

Bryce Brown and Marsalis Teague are going to be really, really good I think.

Sam Bradford just got hit on a blitz and he's down favoring his right shoulder significantly.

Bradford was taken to the locker room before the team with his arm being cradled. It appears he just fell on it funny, but who knows.

I have to say that ND FINALLY looks as fast and instinctive as their recruiting says they should be.

 

They're finally mostly Jrs and Srs. Though 2 of the best players on the field at their respective positions (Floyd and Rudolph) are still just sophomores. But even then, the jump from freshman to sophomore is significant.

 

I'm really high on this season after watching a fast Tenuta blitz scheme shut out Nevada and the OL hold off 2 very good DEs.

On third and 8, BYU runs a draw to pick up three. They then hurried to the line and Hall hit Pitta to move down to the OU 7 yard line.
