We're just giving them their runs while we continue to strand runner after runner. This is pretty frustrating.

Now is not the time to play poorly, especially with the Cardinals playing so well.

IF the Cubs can somehow win the Division, Lou should be manager of the decade; i can't believe how far this team has went backwards since last year

A lot of the personnel moves that were made handcuffed us. Also, a lot of guys had career years last year, or did well last year and are struggling this year.

I said then that this wasn't even a 90-win team. I'm hoping I'm wrong, but they sure as hell don't look like one lately.

Wonder how many more wins DeRosa could have been worth this season? :rotfl:

Now is not the time to play poorly, especially with the Cardinals playing so well.

It's hard to judge how well the Cardinals are playing when they've been playing the Pirates and Mets. Think about the fact that the Cardinals week consisted of

Monday: Off day, players rest and bullpen regroups

Tuesday: Were losing by 2 runs in the 9th and came back and won

Wednesday: Were blown out and shut out by the Mets long reliever

Thursday: Off day, players rest and bullpen regroups

Friday: Had to come back and take the lead in the 8th inning to beat hapless Pirates

Saturday: Beat Pirates soundly

Sunday: Had to come back and take the lead in the 8th inning to beat the hapless Pirates

Thats 3 late inning comebacks, 1 blowout loss, 1 convincing victory (if u can call a 2 run win over the Pirates a convincing victory) and 2 off days. Now granted you have to be a good team to make those comebacks, but it's obvious they've struggled against some mediocre to bad teams this week.
