The thing that is most disturbing to me is the part where he asked the bar manager where he could get some cocaine. The alcohol is one thing, but going back down that road again is definitely not going to end well.

he was wasted though. he said he doesn't even remember if he asked for it. it was probably one of those things where he was like "well i'm already wasted, i might as well enjoy this single relapse as much as possible and do some blow"

i feel bad that this happened since he it was such a feel good story to so many people, but he is only human. he did call his wife, the rangers, and mlb right after it happened and told them about it. he didn't wait around for the pictures to come out like most people in this situation do, so it looks like he was willing to take responsibility for his actions then. judging from the pictures, it looks like he has more to explain to his wife than he does anyone else. but he claims that was the last time he had a drink, and i believe him.

at least we know he wasn't able to get any cocaine. it would've shown up in one of the tests that he has to take 3 times a week. and one more positive test and he's done for good. what's disturbing is that no one knows what happened to him after he left the bar that night and went to the strip club.

I've got a pretty good idea what happened after he got dropped off at the the strip club. I'm betting he scored two kinds of blow that night.

Naively believing in the infallibility of drug tests. That's nice. Not saying that he did or didn't use, but cocaine is a drug that exits the system relatively quickly.

Someone knows what happened to him... they just don't want to incriminate themselves.

I'd say odds are Tony LaRussa is dying to get Hambone now so they can go party together.

HE'S NICE TO DOGS

Ok, so he won't be trying to add Mike Vick.
