75 pitches for Wells. Could he be the Cubs first CG of the year? More realistically, he might be able to go 2 more if he keeps it up.

Didn't Marshall throw a rain-shortened CG already this year?

Koyie sure takes a lot of strikes on the inside of the plate.

Yeah but Harrang is doing a very very nice job of hitting that corner of the zone tonight.

Dammit, Wells looks like that error fazed him

..... or, he's just plain out of gas.

Yeah. He's leaving everything up in the zone. Looks like he just ran out of gas all of the sudden.

Well, hopefully he can get this last out and have Grabow/Guzman and Marmol finish this puppy up. Wells easily could have gone out for the 8th if that error didn't cause him to throw ~15 more pitches

He is, it just seems like he takes that pitch a lot. With how close he stands to the plate he should adjust.

See, here's the problem with Dusty. 107 pitches before the inning starts and he sends Harang back out there, He's going to end up throwing 120+ after the walk, maybe 130. Just dumb.

Randy Wells has to be the favorite for Rookie of the Year. I guess maybe J. A. Happ too, but no way should any hitter get a shot.

If McCutchen keeps hitting, I don't see how he won't get consideration.
