But yet he'll still continue to switch hit, because that's how it's always been, and because this is baseball, that's how it always will be.

 

There are too many incredibly stubborn people in all levels of baseball (not just the Cubs) to expect a struggling switch-hitter to just pick one side or the other after prolonged struggles.
