Matt Holliday is going to hit .650 the rest of the year with the Cardinals. 1-0 STL

Matt Holliday hitting like a world beater+Cardinals missing the playoffs=Matt Holliday playing for the Yankees or Red Sox in 2010.

That would be hilarious. Out Brett Wallace and they don't keep Holliday.

Considering Matt Holliday is a FA and his agent is Scott Boras I say that is a distinct possibility. Not to mention I believe I heard LaRussa and Duncan are also "Free agents" this offseason.......

Yeah, I doubt the Cards keep Holliday with the Red Sox and Yankees lurking. They'll get the 2 draft picks though.

Right, but I'd rather see them trade off a top prospect like Brett Wallace for only 3 months of Matt Holliday and then start over developing those draft picks. Assuming Holliday doesn't re-sign, they could easily have leveraged a talent like Wallace into more than 3 months of big league talent.

is it greedy to ask for more runs because Z looks horrid

more runs

No you're not. You don't want to know what kind of game this feels like to me, but I won't mentioned it. Suffice to say, I want 8-15 runs tonight.

Oh absolutely. It's going to be quite painful if the Cards can't resign Holliday after what they gave up. They gave up 4 of their top 6 prospects for Holliday and DeRo, correct?

can you explain why you spell like this? it has to be the most annoying thing I have ever seen on this message board and you do it in every post.

I know he leaves a lot to be desired offensively, but I think Koyie Hill deserves some credit for catching for pretty much three weeks straight without a day off. That is a hell of a workload.

Matt Holliday with a single. 2-2 tonight again.

This is too much.

I don't understand why it's too much. He's a quality hitter.

Especially in late July and early August.

The Cubs are extremely lucky that it's been a very mild summer so far. Can you imagine Hill catching all these games in a row if it was 90 degrees every day?

matt holliday will never be retired again, seriously

As long as Holliday and Pujols don't both score each time through the order, I count it a success.

He's hitting at a .600 clip as a Cardinal in over a week. The sucky part is, Pujols has been slumping recently. As soon as Holliday gets in a slump, Pujols will start hitting .600.
