So what are the chances Ankiel doesnt hit a granny here?

100%

Looking at his stats Ankiel really does suck, 9,1,2 coming up for the Dodgers, who knows maybe Manny the Great will finally do some damage this inning.

Just saw this on the GRB other games thread:

Cubs win. Thats how it should work at Wrigley in the summer/ what makes Cubs historic record of futility all the more pathetic is that they' ve found a way to squander the most significant home field advantage in baseball for the last 100 years. Tailor a team towards Wrigley and you should win 70% at home and all you need is a split on the road.

What the hell does that even mean?

that makes my brain hurt. The cardinals fans' hate of the Cubs is unbelievable.

Man, the Cards schedule is so easy the rest of the way, too

we're going to have to deal with this every night

How can it be easy? I thought the Cards had the easiest schedule in baseball to this point.

I guess most of the NL is just weak this year

I don't care who is on their team, they won't play this well for the rest of the year, just as we won't play this well all year. Their hitting has actually been hit or miss since they made moves. A couple of terrific offensive days and a few days of mediocre performances. That makes me feel good that their offense isn't likely turning into the 27 Yankees although it is good.

Come on, Loney. Get the runs in.

Nevermind. Make that Kemp.

Loney Ks with guys on 2nd and 3rd and 1 out. The good news is they're bringing in Wellemeyer to get the last out of the inning.

Cards fans cringe!
