Encarnacion called out on strikes

His numbers are awful this year. Is he bad or just another victim of the DB school of baseball?

August 1st seems a little premature for Soto

Jul 21 Reports from the team's training facility in Mesa say that Soto (oblique) is progressing but still not swinging a bat, the Chicago Sun-Times reports. That suggests that an early August return might be optimistic.

Recommendation: Soto was hurt on July 8, and the original prognosis was that he'd be out for a month. While oblique injuries can take six weeks to heal, at this point, it looks like he'll be back sometime between early to mid-August.

Yea Lou was interviewed before the game, and he said 1st of August. Cant remember if he said Aug 1, or the 1st part of August.

So Gomes gets to a full count by watching a slider in the dirt, before striking out on the next pitch which was... a slider in the dirt.

How very Cublike
