I'm shocked there hasn't been a picture of Soriano with Sandberg's wife.

That wouldn't make Soriano guilty of an atrocity. That would just make him a member of the 1988 Cubs.

And "member of the 1988 Cubs" would include front office, scouting, stadium staff, random vagrants inhabiting Wrigleyville, etc..

When a franchise doesn't win a world series for 100 years, a franchise needs a slump buster.

I'm really surprised I'm the first one to post this.

Does this not work for anybody else?

If you open the image in a new window by itself, you can see it. It's pretty good.

I can't get over the "Sean Marshall in Left Field" thing... I mean, I watched the game, but I still can't get beyond it... so weird....

Sadly my Photoshop skills are weak, but someone should do a picture of that time Soriano interfered with that baseball when we were 5 outs from the World Series in '03.

I'm even more shocked that we haven't seen a Soriano, Steve Stone Do Not Touch Playgirl photo.

Been out of country...WHAT?!? When did this happen? Circumstances?

Oh, it was terrific.

In the top of the 9th inning of last Sunday's nightcap against the Cardinals, score of 4-2 Cards at the time with two men on and nobody out, Lou brought in Marshall, who promptly walked Nick Stavinoha to load the bases. Needing to remove Marshall but keep him available for the left-handed hitters who were still due up in the inning, Lou got creative. He removed Soriano from the game, moved Marshall to left field and brought in Heilman. Heilman struck out the next batter on a 3-2 pitch, at which point Heilman was removed, Marshall moved back to the mound and Johnson brought in to play left field. Marshall got the next batter swinging, and just for good measure, the final out of the inning was on a diving, stumbling catch by Reed in left field that was clearly a trap and not a catch. Tony La Russa tried to argue the move, Joe Morgan couldn't understand and tried to argue the move, but for what it was, it worked like a charm.

Didn't La Russa compliment Lou on having the balls to make that move?

After the fact, yes. In-game, he was clearly telling the ump "you sure he's allowed to do this?"
