I really can't see this game ending well.

Why not?

I was going to ask this as well, Kawakami is pretty terrible on the road, 6 HR in 36IP, 5+ ERA, there's real no real reason the Cubs shouldn't touch him up for 5+ runs.

So now that we've talked about how awful the pitcher is, the Cubs will proceed to score 1 run and lose 3-1.

Thank god. When I saw the Cubs were 1 run behind and Ski posted in the game thread I was afraid it was anime

What was the fairly lengthy on field delay on game day about?

Double play ball hit to 2b, the 2b ump ruled that Theriot was off the base when he caught and threw to first.

Oh, and he was wrong. Again. Lou came out to argue this time

when i become commissioner of MLB, that umpire will be fired immediately. not because he screwed over the cubs, but anyone who blows a call as badly as the one in the first inning cannot be an umpire at the highest level of baseball.

I'd do it just like with players. Screw up calls, you get sent to the minors. Someone who is rating high in the minors gets called up as a replacement.

iPhone users: this one is being televised if you have the MLB app. Just a FYI.

Not if you live in Memphis!

I'm in the freaking Braves home viewing area. I'm also in the Red and Cardinals home viewing area too. And sometimes I'm also in the Astros home viewing area. It is maddening.

If by whiny important members you mean everyone on this board besides you, then yes, you shouldn't.

Kevin Hart has been oddly effective.

seems like a fluke based on his walks. Then again I said that about wells after his first start.

i dont understand why jeff baker is playing against a righty

I hope it's a reverse platoon with Fontenot. That would be hilarious.
