Fontenot could face demotion

According to MLB.com's Carrie Muskat, Mike Fontenot risks demotion if he doesn't perform well this weekend.

With Aramis Ramirez, Reed Johnson and Angel Guzman all expected to return from the disabled list as soon as Monday, the Cubs will need to jettison some players. With Andres Blanco switch-hitting and hitting well of late, Fontenot needs to demonstrate his worth to the Cubs or face the consequences. He has options left, which hurts him as well.

Hopefully we can see what Jeff Bakers capable of before they make that decison. I dont see Blanco as an everyday starter, and we know Miles isnt.

Fontenot has been really pathetic, so he doesn't look like he can be an everyday starter either. Hendry needs to look outside of the organization to get a 2b.
