How the hell do you score from 2nd on a wild pitch?

You're playing the Bad News Bears. That's how.

Cause Soto made an awful throw after not really hustling after the ball.

runner was going right away and soto didn't see it. lilly came to cover home but soto threw hard and low and lilly had his glove up, so he didn't catch it. they would've had the out if soto threw it higher.

It wasn't that bad, just a little low. It wasn't in the dirt by any means. Lilly just whiffed on it.

He could have lobbed it in time. Instead he fires the ball about 70 mph at his feet.

According to pat and ron it was a good play and lilly just came up empty?

he had his glove up by his chest though... they had a lot of time and there was no need to throw the ball low to get a tag. just a good throw at lilly's upper body would've gotten the out.

Yeah, it could have been thrown a little slower I guess, but it was certainly could have been caught.

If he lobs the ball high and Sanchez slides around Lilly then everybody is singing another tune. He could have thrown it probably a little higher, but in the end it was still a ball Lilly should have caught. At least in my opinion.

I really hope the Cubs can swing a trade for a 2B - Sanchez would actually work. I wouldn't be opposed to picking up a SS and sliding Theriot over, but it'll probably be even harder to find a legitimate SS.
