Ho-ly crap.

I gave up on this game (as I'm sure a lot of others did) and went to the pool with my wife and son. It was 7-2. I turned it on in the top of the 10th and heard that it was tied and just about died.

Can someone post the video of Theriot's hit once it's archived? I want to see the "bad hop" it took.

It was hit fairly hard, but could have easily been an out, however, its just kind of roled past(I think it was) V Mart.

You can watch it on MLB.com right now.

Hell of a nice start to the weekend. I dont know if its Von Joshua or what, but all of the sudden, these guys look alive, and they're not relying solely on the long ball.

Of course it's not but whatever it is, it's nice to see.

From the clip I saw on ESPN News, it sure seemed to take a big turn right before getting to the first baseman. It didn't look like there was anything he could have done.

Theriot was going to be safe no matter what on that hit. The only question was if Sori wouldve held at 3rd or not, because Vizcaino got a bad jump off the mound and wouldnt have beat Theriot to the bad.

Geez, if I was an Indians fan, I'd hate to see DeRosa talk about his desire to be on another team. But as a Cub fan, awesome

"The best two years of my career were spent in that clubhouse and it's good to be back," DeRosa said. "I circled this date on the calendar the day I was moved."

DeRosa was asked the same "what do you miss most?" question and, like Wood, he didn't hesitate.

"Being a Cub," he said. "You can't take it for granted. This is a special place."

I almost want him to "get over it" so to say because it pains me to keep reading those comments. I'm not one of the biggest "trading DeRo was the biggest mistake ever" guys, but I am a Mark DeRosa fan, and would have had absolutely no problem being on this team.

Are we sure that was today? I was down on the field all day and didn't see anyone slide on a tarp. Unless it was long before anyone got there.

According to the Tribune website it was today.

oh i watched some of the 8th inning and "strike 2" to blanco was comical. i mean, there was a bad called strike against theriot, but gameday has the blanco called strike a solid foot outside.

Huh, yah. It definitely had to be before anyone got there staff-wise. I would have loved to see that.

I think DeRosa will be back some day. Unfortunately it will probably be as a washed up free agent. I love DeRo though and wish he was still on the team.
