Good pitchers go through bad stretches. Harden may as well do it while the rest of the team sucks anyway, and hopefully all the pieces fall into place together.

This is what I've been thinking. Cliff Lee is pitching against our "offense" right now: it's not like we were going to win anyway.

No I didnt just repeat what Gooney said. For me to count someone as being one of the best pitchers in the game they have to pitch like it when healthy, and do it consistently. Thats not Rich Harden, so therefore, hes overrated.

But he's not overrated. He's considered one of the best pitchers of the game when he's healthy and consistent.

And hes very very rarely consistent and healthy so in my opinion hes overrated.

I don't know how much more simple this can be explained:

Harden is "rated" with his health issues and inconsistencies in mind.

He'd be overrated if those factors were ignored.

They're not.

Terrible call at 2B.

...okay, maybe not on the replay.

Thought so at first too, but replay showed he was out wow.

Yea... weird how it seemed like he was clearly safe with the naked eye

I give Barksdale mad props on that.

Poor Fox though.

He would only be overrated if people claimed he was more healthy and consistently good than he is. You can't just use overrated as a way of describing a guy who is not a great 200 inning pitcher, unless people actually describe that person as a great 200 inning pitcher. He's flawed. He's far from an ideal starting pitcher.

Whatever fine put it like this. Id rather have Sean Marshall in the rotation.
