Two days off and they still looked absolutely dead out there today. No emotion out there on the field. I wish they played with some giddy up. As much as the Cubs feel like this series is just another series, the Sox just seem like they want it more.

Anyone know our walk to strikeout ratio for the season? It would be interesting to compare to last year.

On pace to score 675 runs for the season.

No Cubs team has scored fewer than 700 runs since the 1997 disaster.

I wonder if any team in MLB history has gone from scoring over 850 runs in one season to fewer than 700 the next.

2009: 2.1 strikeouts for every walk

2008: 1.86 strikeouts for every walk

Fire Lou?

it'd be nice if he at least yelled at Bradley and Soriano for slacking out there in the outfield.

I'm sure Bradley would respond well to that.

This is sarcasm, right?

You are right. My bad. If Soriano and Bradley keep playing the way they have their bats will warm up and the Cubs will win the division and then ride their bats to the World Series.

They must not realize they're slumping.

What good would result from that, do you think?

Maybe he can also take away their TV priveliges and not let them go to prom too.

](*,) -Not going to win this argument even if i do dispute it. I'm tired of waiting around and watching Soriano swing at every pitch that comes even near him, yet he still leads the team in RBI's I believe. What a joke.

It's frustrating to me too to see Soriano struggle like this. Bradley as well. But Lou pitching a fit in their face isn't likely to do anything but irritate them.

If there was a quick and easy fix like that, I'd say Lou/Perry/Joshua/Trammel/somebody would have done it already.

Anybody know what the Cubs record is in games in which Milton Bradley has participated?

Just curious.

20-27 in games he's participated in some way in

18-20 in games he's started

Thank you.

I suspected the winning percentage to be pretty low.

I could be mistaken but I thought I heard at one time or another that Bradley was somewhat of a problem in the clubhouse.

Does anyone think Milton may be having a negative influence on some of the other guys?

Obviously you can't pin a team-wide hitting slump on one player but I thought it was worth mentioning.

Worst part about it is that we have him for 6 more years. He's got 68 K's in 59 Games this year.

Milton has had some issues in the past, but looking at the team record with him in the lineup this year doesn't mean much of anything. We're hovering near .500 with him in the lineup and the overall record is hovering around .500 as well. There's really nothing to draw from that.

I also haven't heard of any issues Milton has had this season, so I doubt he's a negative impact when he's not doing anything negative off the field.

Yeah, Soriano's a good player but that contract was not the best of ideas.

Thanks again.

I suppose I was never a Milton Bradley fan. Seems to me like he played for a contract last season in one of the best hitters parks in baseball.

Too bad our general manager is clueless.

Bradley also OPSd .947 between Oakland and San Diego in 2007 so last year wasn't a complete fluke.

The problem with him is injuries.
