Junior Lake is 2/2 with a HR. Ryan Flaherty has a double. Vitters is 0/2.

 

Carpenter with 4 scoreless, just 1 hit given up but only 1 strikeout too.

He can't be called back up yet, unless someone on the Cubs is going on the DL.

 

Any chance he gets the call for the @DET/CHW series?

He will eligible by then.

 

Lou mentioned the possibility before he was sent down. But something tells me they are going to try and us Bradley as a DH as much as possible to get his legs off the field.

my guess is they'd still call up Fox and platoon him with Hoffpauir in RF though.

Yup he's doing his yearly thing where he has a nice stretch and I start getting interested again. About three weeks later I'm silently sobbing about Travis Snider.

It's the old "either he hits with few walks or he walks with few hits" song and dance all over again, though. I really wish he could find a happy medium between the two ends of the spectrum.

 

Those Jacque Jones comparisons keep looking better and better as the days go on, though.
