you can't force anyone to hit a pitched ball and you can't fire your expensive players with no-trade clauses. any increase in offense will be entirely coincidental.

I wouldn't say entirely coincidental. It's unlikely, but there's a possibility that Joshua will see something awry in the swing of some of the players and help them improve that way.

 

Like I said, though, this move isn't likely to reap much of an improvement, but it could.

It's about time Von got to the big leagues again.. He will do a solid job for the club.. alot of the guys had him in the minors and love his laid-back approach, which is in complete contrast with Perry's aggressive attitude over the last month and change..

Geo seems to be hitting a resurgence lately, which we desperately needed. Fox is hitting really well, but he didn't have much exposure to Perry. Could be coincidence, but I can't quite say we're getting the same results.

 

I want whoever the heck can figure out Soriano since Lou apparently is bent on treating him with a double standard and keeping him in the leadoff spot. He's got to be the worst leadoff man in the league right now.

It took me awhile to realize his name was Von Joshua. I kept thinking that was his last name and his real name was like Greg Von Joshua or something.

Why does everybody think our hitting coach is Von Hayes?
