Post Game on WGN radio just mentioned that the Cubs starting pitchers lead the Majors in quality starts. Yet we're 1 game under .500. Solid work offense.

The old theriot without the uppercut in his swing would have lines that in for a hit. Instead it stays up there for the last out.

 

Maybe...but even the old Theriot hit lots of fly ball outs to right field. He tended to ground out more to the left side and fly out to the right side. About that particular spot shows up a bunch on his hit chart from last year.

I had me a fun filled day at Metrodome South. Never seen Cubs fans so outnumbered. Or so it seemed. Twins fans were the only ones into the game. And why not. They may not have the best team out there, but its not a heaping pile of monkey crap like ours. Besides, aside from a decent baseball team, a borderline football team, and a really big mall, what else do they really have going for them.

 

Twins fans did get nervous in the end when Bradley and Lee got on. Part of me wanted to comfort them and explain the process of a fake rally.

I saw that. Interesting. At least he can go down feeling good about his last start even though his performance was largely due to the fact that our offense is horrible.

Why the hell should he feel good? He was horrible today...he gave up like 4 hits to the stinkin Cubs. I don't blame Minnesota for sending him down. They have to have better options out there. 4 hits? Sheesh...

They know he can beat the Cubs, they just felt it was better to send him to AAA to face real competition.

The weather is hard but I actually think Minneapolis-St Paul is a pretty good urban area considering its location. I'd rather live there than Dallas or Kansas City, etc.
