oh well, go Rox and hopefully we're still only one back in the loss column tomorrow. I'm not sweating tomorrow's Dempster/Ortiz matchup

I give you major props for not sweating any matchup in which our offense has to face a pitcher.

We got shut down by Wandy, who shuts down everyone at MM and Chris Sampson who we can never really hit. It happens. Im not going to lie though, we really could use another bat in the lineup. Milton could be that bat, but it doesnt look like thats going to happen any time soon.

A few things that ticked me off, walking Pence not once but, twice, he swings at anything close and Lee' gb single, I'm thinking a SS with average range would had that ball.

Hopefully we can pound the tar out of Ortiz tomorrow.

Day game after a night game means forfeit lineup.

like it matters. most of our legitimate hitters are already forfeiting so their replacements can't do much worse.

Fontenot and Fukudome both sat, so they'll start. Bradley started, so hopfully he'll sit. Lineup looks better already.

Well Z looked really good tonight. nobody did anything save for lee's 2 solid hits. A bunch of weak infield pop ups and balls being pounded in the ground. Seriously i dont think ive seen that many weak pop ups from a pitcher in one game.

We seem to be saying that a lot lately.

This team is a pile o' junk.

interesting that you didn't pop in to say this after the last two cub games.

No kidding. Obviously no losses are enjoyable, but nothing especially angered me about tonight. Go out and get 'em tomorrow and take the series.

To be fair Soto's HR was legit, too.

Hmm, Wandy's career numbers against us aren't all that special. Must've been my imagination. We just didn't have it tonight.

Good to see Soto blast off. Not much else to say. Offense stunk it up again.

Shades of CubsGM.

Or wrigley23 in regards to Soriano.

better keep calling that all game, blue.

The odds of the ump changing that zone on a key pitch later in the game are 1:40.

it's ok umps, just 1-1 in the 9th inning, great time to start changing the strike zone and blowing calls on whether the batter swings.

I don't get to be right often, so I like to parade it around like a chump when I am.

So there was this kid, he was about 11, 12 years old. Hed never said a word his entire life. Family thought he was a mute or something. Then one day at dinner, his mom made lasagne, and the kid says holy *expletive* this lasagne really sucks. The family was over joyed, as he finally spoke, and asked him why hes never spoken before, to which the kid replied until now, everythings been satisfactory.
