Tom Skilling seems to think this could be rained out.

It surely will not start on time. I'd think a substantial delay is in order.

However, since the Cubs are not scheduled to visit Atlanta again this season, I'd assume that every effort will be made to get this game in.

I was looking at the Weather Channel's radar and found that most of the stuff should be out of Atlanta by around 9:30/10PM CST.

Don't know if they'll play it though.

Too bad the game's a wash, but these "Baseball's Golden Age" shows they run on CSN and FSN are pretty good. Awesome to see color footage from 1920's-1960's games.

Blech, gonna have to burn an off day later this month and come all the way to Atlanta to play a game.

The Braves must hate this. They have a span where they play 3 @ Boston, 1 vs. Cubs, 3 vs. NYY, 3 vs. Boston, 3 vs. Philly

I'm sure the Cubs are going to love the travel. From Chicago on that Sunday to Atlanta that Monday and back up to Detroit for Tuesday.

I'm fine with this, since we miss Jurrjens this go-around... and there's, in theory, only a 1 in 5 chance we'd run into him on the makeup date. And just looking at their schedule, it looks as though he'd pitch the final game of the Boston series.

Why not play the 15th? Both teams are off the 15th and 22nd. So, play the 15th and both teams are off the following Monday. Cubs would play 13 in a row between now and the 22nd, Braves 17.

But, I guess ATL is already home on the 22nd, but they are also off the 29th with the Cubs now having to play 23 days in a row from 6/16 to 7/9.
