Chad Fox is one of Hendry's pets from Florida and shouldn't be in the organization, let alone brought up. But Hendry has his favorites and that will be his undoing as a GM.

What does Chad Fox having pitched for the Marlins have to do with Hendry?

Hendry worked for the Marlins for three years before joining the Cubs.

He has worked for the Cubs since 1995. Explain to me how Chad Fox having pitched for the Marlins in 2003 and 2004 would possibly qualify him as one of Hendry's "pets from Florida".

You have completely owned this argument. Not to mention Hendry has worked for the Cubs longer than Fox has even been in the majors

Well, Hendry does seem to have a thing for guys on that 2003 Marlins team for some reason. DLee, Pierre, Chad Fox, Hollandsworth.

The bullpen is a total mess. Several moves need to be made. Patton needs to be returned. Asciano HAS to come up. I'm not sure who else would come up (Hart? Stevens? Gaub?). But it would have to be an improvement over Patton. Heilman cannot be allowed to even look at a baseball in a close game until he rights himself.

Hendry created a mess, now he must be held accountable for fixing it.

Assuming Fox is done for the season, he wound up with a 135.00 ERA

sucks to have that on your baseball card

If he retires, though, he won't have a future baseball card for those stats to be on. :D

Maybe Hendry will stop bringing back his pets and start developing some talent.
