Every single off season pick up has played like garbage. Miles and Bradley have combined for about 3 hits and Gregg is getting rocked as usual.

Vizcaino was doing well.

Yeah I suppose. Then again they're releasing him.

Dont forget Gathright whose roster spot could be be used just as well on a houseplant.

But is that houseplant "speedy"? I thnk not!

It really is disconcerning to see Bradley start out 1-23, but the fact that he missed almost 9 full days with injury really threw off his timing most likely. It's gonna take him a couple of days to get back on track. For his sake, thank God they are going on the road after tomorrow. He really doesn't need to be amongst the home crowds while he's in this slump.

is anyone starting to see that we should have signed ibanez instead?

No.

But I'll remember that when Bradley has a +.900 OPS a month from now.

I definitely don't think Ibanez was the right player at all. He's 36 and a complete butcher in the field.

LOL, Bradley will be fine. Soriano has been hitting in the .100's going into May the previous 2 years and he turned out just fine. Eventually, Milton will turn these 3-1 counts into hits.

His BABIP is .000. Once the hits start to drop in, he'll be fine.

For what, 7 million or so more (?) we could've kept DeRosa and Wood and saved ourselves from this Miles/Gregg crapfest. I'm sick of those two.

And Milton Bradley might not suck so much if he'd quit getting rung up on ball fours.

That wouldn't change his BA or his SLG though. He'd still be 1-for-whatever.

Im sure Milton will be OK. The worst case scnerio is a .260 avg and an OPS in the mid .800s, but all the same, he needs to get going. he has a long trek ahead of him to get to that Mendoza Line. They may want to consider a DL stint, as hes clearly nowhere near 100%.
