lebron james is good.

I heard he isn't a "killer" tho...

It seems the whole city of LA thinks this way. They can't get a grip that Lebron has passed Kobe.

Not going to get an argument from me.

I'd take Kobe only in terms of taking the final shot, but that's about it. And even then it's not like I'd be disappointed to have LeBron take it.

But yeah, LeBron has passed Kobe.

That shouldn't have been a foul on Howard.

You can't extend your arms outward, especially to the side away from his body where he hit LeBron.

And the Magic win because they hit an endless streak of contested jumpers, lame.

Wow..

That last shot was almost amazing. This series looks like another great matchup. I don't think I've ever seen so many great games in one NBA postseason.

Holy crap. If Williams made that shot that would've surpassed the Fisher shot against the Spurs from a few years ago in terms of miraculousness.

Heh, that's exactly what I said to my friend.

What about the Devin Harris shot from earlier this year?

And the Lakers have beat a horrible Utah team. And went 7 games with a McGrady/Yao less Rocket team.

And the Magic have beat a KG less Celtic team and the Sixers. You can say that about any team left in the playoffs.

Utah is better than New Orleans and way, way better than Detroit and Philadelphia.

I think it's clear that Houston without McGrady is at least even to Houston with McGrady and you could make the argument that they're actually better. And the Rockets played LA tough the first couple games when Yao was still healthy. Houston without Yao, I'll give you, but they're probably still better than most of the crap the East can throw out there after the Big 3.

Utah is not better than New Orleans. The Rockets probably win that series with Yao.

They're probably even and last time I checked, Utah didn't quit on their season or lose by 58 points in a playoff game. That gives the edge to Utah.

They are pretty even. However Utah couldn't win on the road, giving the edge to New Orleans IMO.

Okay, so the Lakers and Nuggets had equal first round opponents in terms of talent level. But as I said, Utah didn't quit on the season like the Hornets did. So for that series, the Lakers played a tougher team.

But whatever.

That doesn't change my original point which was that Cleveland has played two crappy teams, though I'll give them credit for demolishing both, and that's giving people an inflated view on exactly how good Cleveland is.

There's Cleveland, Boston and Orlando in the East. Then there's a ridiculously huge gap before you get to the rest of the teams (which was why getting the top seed was so valuable in the East).

Cleveland is a very good team, but people were talking like they were just going to cruise through the playoffs without much effort. You said that they would win the NBA title and not even go six games in that series, which is ridiculous to claim considering that the team they're more likely to play in the NBA finals, they haven't beaten this year. That same team handed Cleveland it's only home loss when LeBron was in the lineup.

And tonight, look what happens when Cleveland finall yplays a real team. They not only lose a game, but they lose at home.

EDIT: And to expand on the part about playing crappy teams, I wasn't trying to compare who the Lakers had played verses who the Cavaliers/Nuggets had played.

Everyone knows that the Lakers are good - people have known that all season long - so I don't care about who they've played to this point. Everyone knows that the Cavaliers are good as well (though, as I said, I think people are thinking a bit too highly of them at the moment). But people who are touting Denver are doing so largely based on ten games against two weaker opponents in New Orleans and Dallas. If Denver had lost one more game, they would have been playing Houston in the 4/5 game in the first round so they didn't exactly blow anyone out of the water in the regular season.

Utah was also all banged up all year and kills New Orleans head to head.

George Karl is the master of killing his own team's momentum by needlessly subbing his best players out during crucial periods.

"Gee, Melo is just murdering everyone on the Lakers one on one, better take him out and let J.R. Smith run the show!"

From the coule games this season and now the three or four this postseason I don't see why Kenyon continues to start over the Birdman except that Kenyon would throw a fit and cause a rift. Martin just isn't that good anymore meanwhile Anderson can rebound and is one of the best big man defenders in the game.

Nuggets/Magic would be awesome.

Oh God yes.

i think nuggets/cavs would be good too. mostly i just think it would be funny any historically inept franchise to make it, and the cavs haven't always been horrible, but they've usually been sad. they've only won 2 division titles in 39 years.
