I'm still excited about this too. Can't wait for Tuesday night, especially with the small chance that I will be there in person. Haven't been to a Hawks home game since December 2001. It was a game against Detroit. And we lost 5-0.

I know we have a better chance of beating Anaheim than Detroit if we get to the conference finals, but I still want Detroit. I think our skill guys can poke a lot of holes in Osgood.

But first things first. I think the Hawks take Game 3. They'll get amazing energy from the home crowd. Then hold onto Game 4 and you're set.

You guys want a blatantly obvious reason why I complain about the officials on a HNIC game?

Apparently hugging does NOT constitute HOLDING if you're on the Canadian team.

Bieksa is a punk. Mitchell too. O'Brien is behaving himself more than I expected. Burrows? Who punches a guy in the face with his gloves on? What a pansy.

Sure doesn't take long for teams (and their respective fans) to get a good hatred going, does it?

I think I was at that game in Dec of 2001. Was it like 2 days before Christmas or New Years. Federov was a one man show?

It was just a couple days before Christmas. 12/21, or something like that.

Honestly I don't remember who did what for the Wings. I just remember it being terrible. And the stands were overrun with your kind. Made me sick.

Sorry to interject on your trips down memory road... but here is some food for thought...

...every Blackhawks player has scored a point besides Colin Fraser...

Doing just what I ordered them to do:

Is Salo out for any length of time? That'd make me change my mind about the series.

Not announced yet.

I've been browsing and giggling like a schoolgirl reading the comments over at canucks.nhl.com

They are all like me (only 2x worse) and there's about 100 of them for each GDT... so count your blessings.

VANCOUVER -- The Canucks travelled to Chicago on Sunday without defenceman Sami Salo, who remained in Vancouver for treatment of an unspecified lower body injury.

Salo returned to the bench in Saturday night's 6-3 Blackhawks win wincing in pain after he scored the game's opening goal with a blast on the power play early in the first period. He didn't play another shift.

There was no word on whether he would fly later to Chicago for Games 3 and 4 against the Blackhawks on Tuesday and Thursday and coach Alain Vigneault didn't rule out his return.

I liked what Sassone said here:

"Kevin Bieksa acts all tough, but Dustin Byfuglien blew by him much of the night like he was one of those orange practice cones:.

That game was much-needed after watching the Bulls get beat in Boston.

Just keep harrassing Luongo. I don't care who you are -- ya can't stop what ya can't see.

And the whole morning I thought the game was tonight. [expletive].

Owww, that'll ruin your day.

It's Caps/Pens tonight and 24, then super-awesome Game 3 tomorrow.

Caps Pens is going to be a great game at least, looking forward to it.

Salo's not playing tomorrow. Demitra iffy too.

Injury update: Vancouver coach Alain Vigneault said defenseman Sami Salo, who left the ice after scoring the opening goal of Game 2 with a lower-body injury, will not play Tuesday. Winger Pavol Demitra is questionable.

Blackhawks have no excuse not to win the game then.

Yea this is big... I HATE Salo (because he's really good), Hawks could win this one 4-1 or 4-2 I feel... maybe even 3-1... we won't tag Luongo for 5 or 6 again this series.
