Momentum's a funny thing in hockey. It's easy to see a fluky rolling puck on a defensemen, a perfect shot on a breakaway that the player couldn't hit again in a dozen tries, a fluky bounce on a puck in front of the net, and assume that the benefitting team is destroying the other one.

 

For example, I still say the Blackhawks looked much better in the third period of game 2 (when it was 0-0 for the period) than in the second (when they outscored Calgary 3-0).

It is funny that way sometimes, but you still make your own luck in hockey. You crash on the forecheck, work the corners and cycle the puck well, and you'll get better scoring chances and score more goals.

I think the Flames got a couple of lucky bounces (bad pass) to take the 3 goal lead(though they were outplaying the Hawks)...Hawks really came back and worked hard to tie

 

Should be an awesome 3rd period...I am glad it is tied so that should prevent any stupidity

I 100% agree... Hawks had some defensive lapses, though. Should be 4-3 right now if Barker didn't [expletive] up.

Can't really argue with that... but Barker was a PART of that goal. It's a new game now and I really hate to criticize anyone after a sick come back by the offense. I'll try to keep my "criticalness" down til the end of the game.

Yes Barker messed up, never pass into the middle of the defensive zone unless you know you have the puck squarely on your stick, he should have went back up the boards or a wrap around
