How many people's brackets are shot after Wake getting eliminated last night?

A lot. Some of us picked Cleveland State though. Patting myself on the back is fun.

Yea I had Wake in the FF. This sucks because I only missed 4 in the first round, and one of them happened to be Wake and the other one was Florida State... I was not happy last night hahah.

A) The second half of the Wisconsin game was absolutely incredible. Wisconsin's offense is not built to come from behind, but...yeah.

B) Defending Big Ten Basketball

The Big Ten has had 4 different teams in the championship game since 2000 (MSU in 2000, Indiana in 2002, Illinois in 2005, and OSU in 2007, roughly every other year). I forgot what I was listening to, but they were debating Big Ten bball and the main point for their style of play is that they are designed for the tournament. Calm, defensive-minded coaches who trust their systems and go deep in their bench. Which is needed for the tournament.

Well if that isn't a bunch of play-the-game-the-right-way cliche BS. And just like in baseball, I'll take the raw talent over the stoic, calm-eyed players and coaches.

Man I hate the Big 10

Haha, what caused you to hate the Big Ten so much?

They've got 4 teams past the first round. Guess they don't suck as much as he was hoping they would.

Yeah, let's not pretend that because B10 teams play at such a slow pace that they aren't bad offensively. The Big 10 has just 3 teams in the Top 50 in Adjusted Offensive Efficiency, and none of them are in the top 25. To compare, the ACC has 7 (3 Top 25), the Big East has 9 (7! Top 25), the Big 12 has 7 (5 Top 25), the Pac 10 has 6 (4 Top 25), and the SEC has 3 (2 Top 25).

Haha, what caused you to hate the Big Ten so much?

First and foremost, Bo Ryan

Next, being a jaded former Iowa resident and fan

The entire universities of Illinois, Michigan and Ohio State

Bob Knight and Mike Davis and Kelvin Sampson and now Tom Crean

The fact that Big Ten conference games are totally boring and unwatchable

The fact that teams playing against far inferior competition in the Big Ten are getting higher seeds than Big East teams with very similar overall records and, obviously, much tougher competition.

Basically, I'm spoiled by the Big East's unparalleled awesomeness. And in case someone calls me on it, I'm predicting early exits for Pitt and UConn

Where are you getting that?

Pomeroy has Wisconsin No. 26, Michigan State No. 32, Ohio State No. 34, and Michigan No. 50 in adjusted offensive efficiency. That's four. Also, just outside the top-50, Penn State is No. 52, Northwestern is No. 54 and Purdue is No. 61.

My bad, my manual counting method failed me, too many conferences abbreviating with a 10.

WTF, Villanova is already playing on their other home court and now the refs won't call obvious fouls? Screw that.

Can't give their PG 2 fouls but sure can give Aboya 2 fouls in 2 minutes.

[expletive], if you think UCLA got an easy ride the last three years, don't invite us to the [expletive] tournament then. Don't just rape us by the refs and send us 3000 miles away to a 3 seeds home game.

Villanova has far and away the ugliest cheerleader I've ever seen. And yeah, Rasin, they're not calling anything that isn't hard.

Jrue Holiday is on the bench with 2 ticky tacky fouls. How about that cheap foul on Dragovic? Meanwhile Collison is tackled an no call.

Well, four still isn't terribly impressive. I don't think anyone believes the Big 10 is a fluid offensive juggernaut.

Oh crap... just checked my bracket... I somehow chose UCLA for this one... definetely must have misclicked that one...

it's like illinois, except with ucla

I'm sure you would be complaining about the refs too if your team had made the Tourney. It's inevitable that people are going to think their team is getting robbed by the refs.

because it's human nature for you to want your favorite team to do well and refereeing isn't an exact science. There are going to be calls that you don't agree with. I'm sure I can do a search and find some instances where you complained about the refs in football. Michigan/Penn State games come to mind.
