I got the wisconsin game right but I got the Ohio State game wrong. I ended the night going 2-2 which is disappointing. I went 22-10 which is not that great although 9 of the 10 losses were by teams I had losing in the next so that is some what encouraging. I got all the 8/9 match ups wrong and half the of the 7/10 match ups wrong dam coin flips.

i got the ohio st game wrong, and i've never been so happy to get a game wrong. f*** ohio state and yay for northeast Catholic schools.

I love Wisconsin.

This needs to be stated one more time.

I think I woke up half the neighborhood when Hughes made the layup and got fouled. That was an intense game.

Hehe glad I was not the only one.

It's hard to dislike Evan Turner, though.

He went to St. Joseph's out in the suburbs of Chicago. I'm willing to cut the guy slack for the uniform he wears.

No tears, but I was louder and more unintelligible than Gus Johnson screaming "CAAAAATCH".

Watching Big Ten basketball is like watching fat people have sex.

74-72 double OT

61-59 OT

Geez.

I was talking about this with my roommate today. It's probably my Big 10 homerism at play, but I have actually come to admire and even enjoy the Big 10 style of play over time. It's probably because its all I see, plus every single non-Big 10 person rips it nonstop, but I enjoy it.

A) The second half of the Wisconsin game was absolutely incredible. Wisconsin's offense is not built to come from behind, but...yeah.

B) Defending Big Ten Basketball

The Big Ten has had 4 different teams in the championship game since 2000 (MSU in 2000, Indiana in 2002, Illinois in 2005, and OSU in 2007, roughly every other year). I forgot what I was listening to, but they were debating Big Ten bball and the main point for their style of play is that they are designed for the tournament. Calm, defensive-minded coaches who trust their systems and go deep in their bench. Which is needed for the tournament.

Well if that isn't a bunch of play-the-game-the-right-way cliche BS. And just like in baseball, I'll take the raw talent over the stoic, calm-eyed players and coaches.

Man I hate the Big 10

Raw talent worked well for Clemson and Florida State against the Big 10. Intangibles and coaching matter immensely more in basketball than baseball.
