If the Cubs win the WS this year then I won't really care if they hand the team over to him then. He can do the Cubs a service by proving difinitively that smallball doesn't work anymore.

Firstly I LOVE Ryne Sandberg. Loved since 1982, and great guy in person too. However, I was told that during the process after Dusty, Ryno asked for the job. JH told him he had to manage in minors or coach before that could happen.
