I guess this is a buddy for Fukudome in spring training. He has no chance to make the team with either Gathright or Pie on the roster let alone both. If Taguchi wants to stick around, he could be insurance in Triple A. But I bet he would rather return to Japan then play in Triple A.

It will at least give him someone to talk to, until Taguchi gets cut. I just hope that Fuku doesn't have any of Taguchi's suck rub off on him because he doesn't need that.
