First, let me say that a lot of ML pitchers were once the best hitters on their high school/college teams. Not too many HS kids can just pitch.

 

Pretty much correct. Which is actually why I often find it strange/funny how unathletic and goofy some pitchers look when they take a swing. I understand that pitcher's get fooled alot and might look foolish on a hack from time to time, but some pitchers look like they don't even know what a bat is. It's like, did you guys forget how to swing a bat since the last time you played?
